Although this DVD contains none of the Beatles music, thrugh the interviews, press conferences & newsreel footage, it does manange to show the fervour & hysteria that surrounded The Beatles on their first tours of USA, Japan, Australia & New Zealand in 1964. The US tour kicked off with their near riotous arrival at JFK airport in New York, in February, with an appearance on the popular Ed Sullivan Show, watched by an estimated 73 million viewers & concerts in Washington DC, New York & Miami. In June that year, they headed down under & this DVD features interviews & footages taken from Sydney, Melbourne, Darwin, Adelaide & Brisbane in Australia & Auckl&, Wellington, Christchruch & Dunedin in New Zeal&. This tour featured Jimmy Nicol deputising with Ringo Starr, who was ill at home. This DVD show what a worldwide phenomenon Beatlemania was & is historical record of the impact made by the Beatles in those changing times.
